Testing realtime technology for games


June 2016 and we are right into diving into new gameplay techniques. Water that interacts physically correct with objects has always been challenging in games and only with computing power entering the gaming world during the last years has it been in reach. The latest and greatest example to this day in Just Cause 3, which uses Nvidia Waveworks or earlier Assassins Creed Black Flag.

Here is a video of our physics based ocean and a boat that drives around on it, also a physics based. Still early stage and testing things.
